In 2025, JCPA rejected false choices and built coalitions across communities to defend democracy and counter antisemitism & hate — together. And in 2026, we’ll build on that vital work.

Building a safe, inclusive, pluralistic democracy for all is too important to sit on the sidelines.

Our democratic norms and values are under attack.

We are witnessing a direct assault on the principles that underpin our democracy: Equal justice under the law and the protection of fundamental civil liberties and civil rights. When the rule of law and democratic norms are threatened, antisemitism invariably increases and Jews – and all communities – are made less safe.

NEW REPORT: A Home for Hate: How Antisemitism is Reaching Millions on X

At a time of rising antisemitism, extremism, and violence, X – formerly known as Twitter – has become one of the most effective tools for spreading antisemitism.

That is why JCPA and the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) teamed up on a new report illustrating how antisemitism flourishes on X – with real world consequences – in violation of its own terms of service.

A coalition of ten organizations representing a broad swath of mainstream American Jewry – including three of the four denominations – issued a joint statement rejecting the false choice between confronting antisemitism and upholding democracy.

The organizations were brought together by the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and include the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, National Council of Jewish Women, American Conference of Cantors, Central Conference of American Rabbis, HIAS, Rabbinical Assembly, Reconstructing Judaism, Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association, and the Union for Reform Judaism.

At a moment of constant assaults on our democracy, voter suppression is among the most powerful tools the extremists have at their disposal. And without the Voting Rights Act, which was allowed to expire after decades of bipartisan support, we're seeing horrifying new attacks on ballot access rooted in false, bigoted, and dangerous conspiracy theories about stolen elections. 

This critical bill would restore the protections of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and ensure every American has access to the ballot box.

A broad coalition of over 100 national and local Jewish organizations have released a new statement expressing deep alarm and concern over the Trump Administration's attacks on democratic norms and values.

The statement is jointly led by the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, and the Conservative movement’s Rabbinical Assembly. The groups signing on to the statement represent a broad range of the mainstream American Jewish community, including major national and regional advocacy organizations, Jewish Community Relations Councils (JCRCs) and local Jewish federations, and synagogues.
