The Chutzpah to Vote

At a time of rising antisemitism and hate, we know that the fight for Jewish safety is inextricably linked with protecting and advancing an inclusive, pluralistic American democracy in which all communities are safe and free. Just as antisemitism undermines our democracy, so too is Jewish safety most assured in strong democracies.

But standing up for this inclusive democracy in the face of extremism and hate takes guts… gall… chutzpah! So the Jewish Council for Public Affairs is launching The Chutzpah to Vote, a new initiative to mobilize Jews and allies across the country to turn out to vote this fall.

This rising extremism doesn’t exist in silos. Our fight is inextricably linked with so many others. That’s why the broad range of issues on the ballot in November – protecting democracy, reproductive freedom, voting and civil rights, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, countering antisemitism and broader bigotry – requires a committed and vocal Jewish coalition to make our voices heard.

The bedrock of our democratic process — and central to our Jewish values — is the right to vote: the right of every eligible citizen to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted.

We all have a responsibility to make our voices heard.

We must all have the chutzpah to vote  — complete the form below and then check out our Nonpartisan Voter Engagement Toolkit.
