JCPA Joins Interfaith America Summit to Defend Pluralism

At Interfaith America’s Summit in Chicago on August 7, JCPA President and CEO Amy Spitalnick shared her family’s story — from her grandparents’ survival of the Holocaust and their decision to build a life in a more pluralistic America, to her own work fighting for an inclusive democracy.

Reflecting on the ninth anniversary of the violence in Charlottesville, Amy spoke about the interconnected safety of our communities and the urgent need to reject the false choice between Jewish safety and a pluralistic, inclusive America. She called for communities to stay at the table, build coalitions across lines of difference, and protect the democratic institutions that allow all communities to thrive.
