Michael Fromm has been elected Board Chair for the term June 2019–June 2021. Fromm, who will serve as the 28th leader of JCPA since its founding in 1944, takes over as the organization seeks to expand its role as a vital resource to Jewish communities across the United States in forging alliances with other ethnic, cultural and religious groups.

“I am honored to have the confidence of the board and JCPA’s numerous stakeholders as we move this great organization into a new era. My aim is to work with lay leaders and staff to strengthen the capacity of the community relations network nationally so it can ably address not only the issues we face today, but also those we can anticipate as the political and social climates become more challenging.”

Fromm has held numerous leadership roles in the philanthropic community over the past twenty-five years. Most recently, he served as JCPA’s first Vice Chair and advisor to the Finance Committee. Fromm is a former Jewish Federation board chair (Reading, PA) and board member of Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). He currently serves as an Ambassador of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and is chairman of the board of trustees of Alvernia University, located in Reading, PA. He is CEO of Fromm Electric Supply Corporation and a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan. Michael resides with his wife, Susan, in Reading, PA and New York City.
