Antisemitism, Democracy, and the Assault on Knowledge & Education

A Conversation Between JCPA CEO Amy Spitalnick and American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten

Over the last few weeks, the Trump administration has exploited real concerns about antisemitism to undercut civil liberties, our educational institutions, and our democratic norms. From gutting universities’ federal funding and upending the rule of law, to dismantling the Department of Education, these policies ultimately threaten the safety and rights of Jewish and all students and our very democracy.

JCPA CEO Amy Spitalnick joined AFT and Albert Shanker Institute President Randi Weingarten for a conversation on how to confront antisemitism and broader hate, protect democracy, and fight back against the assault on knowledge and education.
