Administrative Coordinator

Molly Balk

Molly Balk is the Administrative Coordinator for the JCPA, joining in her family’s long tradition of Jewish communal and nonprofit work. As a special education teacher and coordinator in the NYC Department of Education, she advocated for high school students, teachers, and parents to get matched with the services and resources they deserved. She then worked as a career coach for Upwardly Global, a nonprofit supporting immigrants, refugees, and asylees to restart their professional careers in the U.S. She’s also worn numerous additional hats across educational, artistic, and nonprofit settings, including serving as the Communications Director for Broadway Bods, NYC’s first fat-positive theater nonprofit, and as an Ambassador for Power Plus Wellness, a joyful movement and wellness collective.

Molly received her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in theater from the University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. When she’s not at her computer, she can be found at the latest Broadway or Off-Broadway show, a Pilates or aerial yoga class, or in transit throughout NYC and Connecticut to see her beloved friends and family.
