Jonathan Ellis

Jonathan J. Ellis currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and is the former Treasurer of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA); Board member of the Tampa JCCs and Federation and Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC); Board member and former president of the Hillels of the Florida Suncoast; and co-chair of the Tampa Black Jewish Community Cooperative. He is the former president of Congregation Beth Shalom of Brandon and former Director of Hillel Academy of Tampa Bay.

Jonathan graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1990. He is an Equity Partner with the firm of Shumaker Loop & Kendrick, LLP. His practice revolves around commercial litigation and representation of condominiums and community associations. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of Condominiums and Planned Development Law. He is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating he has reached the height of professional excellence, practiced law for many years and is recognized for the highest levels of skills and integrity.

Jonathan has been selected as a Florida Super Lawyer in the business litigation law category. The Super Lawyers designation is based upon the results of independent research performed by Law & Politics, including peer review and professional achievement. Only five percent of Florida lawyers are named Super Lawyers. Additionally, he has been named to the Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, a designation based on peer review and Top Community Association lawyer in Tampa Magazine as voted by his peers.
