The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) urges all people of good will, including religious, human rights, and political leaders to join with us in calling upon the Iranian Government immediately to release the group of Jews who are being falsely accused of spying for Israel and the United States. This is a charge that carries the death sentence in Iran. These individuals — held in prison for almost three months — include rabbis, Hebrew teachers, and other Jewish community officials in Isfahan and Shiraz. Their only “crime” is that they have contributed to the maintenance of Jewish life in those locations.
