At a time of rising antisemitism and extremism, we have big ambitions for what JCPA can accomplish – but we know that it is going to take all of us.

That’s why it’s so heartening that over 150 Jewish Community Relations Council and other communal professionals and leaders – from all corners of the country – convened on June 17th for JCPA’s summit on Coalition and Bridge-Building Post-October 7th.

During the summit, JCPA provided educational and professional development opportunities to help our local Jewish communities build allyship to counter the rise of antisemitism and bigotry at this crucial moment. It’s never been more crucial that we continue to invest in and support the leaders doing this work.

Karen Elam, JCPA’s COO; Idit Klein, President and CEO of Keshet; Maya Wiley, President and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; and Amy Spitalnick, JCPA’s CEO discuss Jewish safety and inclusive democracy.

“The takeaways from the JCPA summit were clear and resounding – the work of JCRCs is hard, never-ending, and absolutely critical both for the health and safety of our democracy and the wellbeing of the Jewish people — the two being inextricably linked.”
– Maxima Patashnik, Director of JCRC and Government Affairs at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle

“In this moment when community relations is facing its greatest challenges, JCPA really represents a doubling down and recommitment to relationship-building, to the power of coalition-building.”
-Brandon Fish, Director of Community Relations at the Charleston Jewish Federation

Jeremy Burton, CEO of the JCRC of Greater Boston; Rabbi Jonah Pesner, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism; Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers; and Leah Soibel, Founder and CEO of Fuente Latina discuss how we can break through the false binaries of the Israel conversation.

“It was excellently designed, offering many novel perspectives on community relations during this challenging time.”
Rabbi Ari Jun , JCRC Director of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati
