We are deeply concerned over the suffering of Israeli MlAs and the anguish of those families whose husbands, fathers and sons are still missing in action.

Israeli soldiers Zachary Baumel, Zvi Feldman and Yehuda Katz have been missing since 1982. Israeli Air Force Captain Ron Arad was taken prisoner in Lebanon in October 1986. Their families have been living in pain and anxiety for these many years, not knowing the conditions in which their loved ones are being held.

We commend the Clinton Administration for its efforts on behalf of the MIAs and, in particular, in obtaining a commitment from Syria to cooperate with and assist a Congressional investigation seeking information on Israel’s missing-in-action.

We pledge our full and active support in efforts to increase public awareness of this tragic issue, to obtain information regarding the fate of the Israeli MIAs and to secure their safe return to their families.
