For Immediate Release: October 7, 2023

Statement from JCPA Board Chair Leslie Dannin Rosenthal and CEO Amy Spitalnick:

“Our hearts are utterly broken watching the horrific news out of Israel.

As Israeli families were marking Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, they were brutally and deliberately attacked in communities across the south and around the country. There is absolutely no justification for this targeting, kidnapping, and murder.

We pray for a peaceful resolution — and hope for the day when all Israelis and Palestinians can finally live in peace and safety.”
