Thank You for Joining the JCPA and JLC for this discussion.

Thank You for Joining the JCPA and JLC for this discussion of Antisemitism, Unions, and the Fight for American Democracy Today.

Thank you for being part of this important conversation on antisemitism, labor, and democracy. As we discussed during the program, confronting antisemitism, strengthening Jewish safety, and the rights of workers to form and join unions all requires strong partnerships, education, and sustained engagement. Below are ways to stay connected and continue this work.

NEA + JCPA Joint Webinar Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) and the National Education Association’s (NEA) webinar marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day. JCPA CEO Amy Spitalnick and NEA President Becky Pringle discussed why remembering the Holocaust is so important to them personally, why Holocaust education remains critical, and the importance of building strong, diverse coalitions to confront antisemitism – and all forms of bigotry – as part of rebuilding the resilience and strength of our democracy.

The Jewish Labor Committee is the voice of the Jewish community in the labor movement and the voice of the labor movement in the Jewish community, through activities coordinated by its national office in New York or local offices and lay-led groups across the map. JLC works to enable the Jewish community and the trade union movement to work together on issues of shared interest and concern, in pursuit of our shared commitment to economic and social justice.

Upcoming Events: JLC Labor Seders

Each year, for many years, the JLC organizes and co-sponsors Labor Seders in a number of communities across the country – each in its own way bringing together labor, Jewish communal, and civic partners, in an exploration of Jewish tradition, workers’ rights, social justice, and, of course, food!

For those in the Greater Boston area, you’re invited to join the New England JLC annual Labor Seder on March 22nd.  It’ll be at the IBEW Local 103 Function Hall, in Dorchester, MA.   For more details, write to Jonathon Feinberg or visit newenglandjewishlabor.org.

And for those in the Greater Newark area, you’re invited to join the New Jersey JLC Annual Labor Seder on March 26th, at the headquarters of the New Jersey district of SEIU 32BJ.  For more details, write to Martin Schwartz.

If you’re interested in the possibility of a Labor Seder in your community – or if you’d like a copy of the Jewish Labor Committee Passover Haggadah –contact
