The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) congratulates President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris for winning the 2020 Presidential election. During this election, an unprecedented number of Americans, among them many American Jews, cast their vote and participated in our democratic process. We also celebrate this historic moment as the first woman and woman of color has been elected Vice President. We thank the many dedicated election officials, Republicans and Democrats, who ensured accessible, free and fair elections.

We look forward to partnering with the Biden Administration to achieve greater unity in our country, combat racism, bigotry and antisemitism, advance justice and equal opportunity, rebuild our immigration system, support the most vulnerable, and ensure a strong US-Israel relationship and peace between Israel and her neighbors.

Over the next several months, as the new administration prepares to take office in January, we urge a peaceful and constructive transfer of power. Such transitions are especially critical as we face daunting challenges, including a raging pandemic.  We urge Americans to come together to heal our torn communities and work across differences to meet these challenges.
