Last week, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs held its annual conference, JCPA2016, in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, representatives from Jewish communities across the country and JCPA’s national agency partners voted in favor of an updated climate change resolution. In addition to the resolution, Ohio Jewish leaders convened for a special strategy session on environmental issues and energy security. The session was convened by Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life Policy Advisor and Ohio native Jesse Vogel. Ohio Jewish leaders heard from a panel of experts, including representatives from Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, Cuyahoga County Department of Sustainability, Ohio Interfaith Power and Light, and the National Resources Defense Council.
